Cooperation of USPA with international organizations

European Sea Ports Organization (ESPO)

On May 30, 2018 on the General Assembly in Rotterdam, the Ukrainian sea ports Authority joined the European Organization of Seaports (ESPO) as an observer member.

ESPO was founded in 1993 and unites the port administrations of the countries of the European Union. To date, its members are port administrations and national port associations of member countries of the European Union.

ESPO is constantly working on the development of regulatory documents at the international level to improve the work and improve the quality of services of the port industry.

AMPU develops partnership relations with foreign ports, port organizations and international counterparties concluding Memorandum of Understanding and Cooperation (MoU):

Cooperation in the field of maritime security

Between the USPAand the International Port Security Program of the US Coast Guard (IPS), with the direct assistance of the Export Administration and Security Program (ExBS) of the US Government and the US Embassy in Ukraine, a regular dialogue has been established.

In this regard, regular joint activities are carried out (training and practical seminars, round tables, support visits and screening visits, which provide relevant recommendations) with the aim of sharing knowledge, experience and best practices that are applied worldwide in practical implementation of requirements of The International Ship and Port Facility Security Code, which is a key indicator of effective international port security measures.

Cooperation with international financial organizations

To date, the USPA actively participates in the development of a feasibility study on concession projects in ports:

SE «Kherson commercial sea port»

Railway-ferry complex of SE «Chernomorsk commercial sea port»

SE «Yuzhnyi commercial sea port»

The International Finance Corporation (IFC) and the European Bank support these projects for Reconstruction and Development.
