Tender for dredging works in Chornomorsk port was announced

On November, 14th, Yuzhny branch of SE “USPA” (Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority) announced the procedure of open bidding for the procurement of dredging works at the Chornomorsk seaport. The bids will be held in ProZorro e-procurement system.

The project «Reconstruction of the approaching sea channel of the port and the operational water area of ​​the 1st bucket of Dry Estuary of the Illichivsk branch of the SE “USPA” provides for reaching depths up to 16 m in the sea channel of the port, up to 15 m in the operational water area.

The bidding procedure involves the procurement of works in two lots. The first lot includes the reconstruction of the approach sea channel of the port of Illichivsk branch of the SE “USPA”, the second lot includes the reconstruction of the operational water area of ​​the 1st bucket of Dry Estuary of the Illichivsk branch of the SE “USPA” with an increase in depth to 15 m.

As part of the project, it is planned to remove a total of 1,989,690 cubic meters of soil during the dredging works. The first lot – 504 400 cubic meters, the second one – 1,485,560 cubic meters. The expected cost of all works is 444,801,554 UAH without VAT, in particular for the first lot – 91,769,365 UAH without VAT, for the second one – 353 032 189 UAH without VAT.

»Following the implementation of these projects, the Chornomorsk port will have all the conditions for a safe and smooth approach of large-tonnage vessels to existing and reconstructed deep-water berths. Sure, this will not only increase the volume of cargo handling in the port, but also will increase revenues to the budgets of all levels", — said Maxim Shirokov, the Head of Yuzhny Sea Port Authority.
