Cruise market is increasing due to construction of new “floating hotels” and growing popularity of the rest surrounded by moving impressions. Under such circumstances it is extremely important to revive and develop “the most beautiful and modern type of maritime business” in Ukraine.

The Black Sea is a region with a good potential for high growth rates in cruise tourism. As the industry faces a demand for new itineraries and ports of call, Ukraine has what to offer. Having long-term original history and amazing hospitality, we have all chances to become a real cruise destination discovery on the global cruise map.

Ukrainian cruise ports have been experiencing stable growth of ship calls and passenger flow. Over the past two years the number of cruise calls hasincreased by an average of 13%.

High demand for fresh cruise experience as well as the final stage of the passenger terminals construction in a number of seaports, the adoption of the Law on Sea Ports in Ukraine, a series of joint activities carried out among which three international conferences Black Sea Cruise in 2008, 2010 and 2012 — all these factors have had and will have a positive impact on the cruises and passenger carriages development in Ukraine.

Passenger terminal of Odessa port is located in the heart of the city, 10 minutes walk from the main sights of the city, such as the Potemkin Stairs and the Monument to the Duke de Richelieu, the first governor of the city, Deribasovskaya Street and the Opera House.

Currently, the passenger complex is able to simultaneously accept five ships at the berths with total length of 1370 meters. The depth of the port near the berths varies from 9.5 to 11.5 m. The fairway and port facilities allow acceptance of ships up to 300 meters in length. Odessa port provides bunkering passenger ships, ensuring them with a highly refined fuel.

Potable water supplied to vessels is taken from artesian wells, which guarantees its purity.

There are restaurants, offices, travel agencies, banks, post offices and DHL in the building of the passenger terminal. Here you can buy railway and air tickets to all the countries of the world, as well to order luxury cruises. The guests can also take advantage of currency exchange offices, ATMs, international telephone and Internet.
